You know, I don't even want Obito taken prisoner, that's how bad I hate him.
He doesn't even deserve to be alive. Ahdkjahdkakf. I actually will say, I have never actually hated a character, until now. I'm not lying, like, Obito is the first character I grew to deeply hate.
I mean, look at those stupid, fucking comments.

You know, for some reason, I think Naruto just realized HOW REAL the war really is. Am I right?

It was an obvious reality check for Naruto. Obvious. Yes, side ninja die, and they obviously aren't close to Naruto, but Neji... Neji is closer to Naruto then those side ninja are.
It took that realization. He made that promise, "I won't let a single one of my friends die-"
Sadly, that's not reality. In war, friends die, and likely more will die. Should Naruto have made that statement? Sure, I would as well. Was he over confident / denying the possible outcome when he stated it? Not sure, was he? That's your opinion, go ahead and interpret.
Did Neji's death need to happen? That's not me to decide. Actually, possibly, it did. (Not necessarily Neji's death, but someone's death, a person that is possibly, or somewhat close to Naruto). It might have an important roll in the story... Death = realization.
Wow, that was a weird way to explain it... I bet when I re read that section, I'll be like, "Dafuq did I just write?"
